The “Boot” tab contains an information that you can manipulate to make your computer access its CD-ROM drive/ external hard drive first before booting up. Go to the “Boot” tab and analyse the content. Second, shut down your computer then turn it on (restart your computer) and press F2 repeatedly until you see an option page on your screen. After inserting the CD, you can proceed to the next step. The CD-ROM needs a power supply to operate hence you need to open your computer first. Click the "+" symbol to expand that entry and click on Order Media for details.Insert the CD containing the windows 7 installer on the CD-ROM of your computer. If HP Recovery Media is available for your machine, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for Order Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. On your Software and Drivers Download page, select your Operating System and and Version. Once there, input your Product name or number. You can look online for Recovery Media starting with the linked paged: You have to order these from HP they can not be downloaded. In some cases, you may be able to order a USB stick instead of disks. This is a set of DVDs and a CD, or USB stick, that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, settings, and applications, reinstall the original OS, drivers, and some HP Utilities. HP does not provide an ISO, and the only thing they do provide is something known as HP Recovery Media. Sorry, but there is nowhere you can download the HP OEM version of Windows 7. ![]()
